Route Information
Starting out at the Ponca backwater area is a great opportunity to explore some of the wetlands being restored. About a mile upstream is the largest backwater area which was finished in 2004. It is only accessible by non-motorized watercraft and provides habitats for fish and other wildlife. The next 2 miles downstream are the last of the unchannelized river. More...
